Maintenance methods and precautions for radiators

Date of Issue 2023-08-10

It can be quite painful to have no heating at home in winter, but sometimes the radiators at home may leak or have other problems. When encountering this situation, it can be very troublesome. If you can repair the radiator yourself, it will save a lot of costs. Below, we will introduce how to repair a damaged radiator.

Common emergency measures

1. When encountering a leak in the radiator at home, users first need to carefully search for the location of the leak.

2. Due to the fact that the heating system is divided into two supply and return water channels, there should be at least two control valves. Therefore, after identifying the leaking area, take the opportunity to locate the control valve of the leaking area.

3. Rotate the determined control valve clockwise until it stops turning.

4. After closing the valve, observe if the leakage situation has improved. If not, it indicates that the valve is malfunctioning or the wrong valve has been selected.

5. After the above process is completed, users should immediately call the heating maintenance center or contact the manufacturer who purchased the radiator to handle the leakage as soon as possible.
